Yesterday's Gardenias - by George Spink

In November 1977, Chicago Magazine published a four-page article of mine entitled Yesterday's Gardenias. I am posting it here so that I can share with you how my love of big band music and jazz developed in my early years and has flourished ever since. The beautiful artwork was created by Ross and Harvey Graphics in Chicago.

To view each of the four pages, simply click the thumbnail images below, beginning on the left. The page you click will open in a new window. Use the scroll bar to navigate up and down the page. When you have finished reading the page, you can return here by clicking the small box with the "X" in the upper right corner. Then click on the next page and so on until you finish the article.

Or, click here if you prefer to read all four pages on one very, very wide web page! Close that page to return to this one.
